This video is all over the internet today, mainly because the idea of someone this stupid being elected to Congress is just so outrageous!



This is Congressman Hank Johnson, a Democrat from Georgia.

Now, I've heard various excuses for why Congressman Johnson made these horrifically stupid remarks, among them:

• He has Hepatitis C and is heavily medicated.
• He was joking.
• He is being taken out of context.

Now, if he has Hep C and is so heavily medicated, what is he doing at this hearing?  If his judgment is this impaired, he should probably be taking some time off.

Also, was he this high on Hep C meds when he voted for Obamacare?  If so, shouldn't his vote not be counted since his judgment is obviously impaired?

If he was joking, why is there no laughter?  You can see some people in the audience laughing, and the Admiral is quite obviously struggling to not bust up, but the Congressman doesn't even crack a smile.  He wasn't joking.

The clip is almost 3 minutes long, most of which is filled with the Congressman's nonsensical ramblings leading up to his insane "tip over and capsize" remark.  After that remark, he keeps going!  There is plenty of context.


It's only a matter of time before the race card is played in defense of Congressman Johnson (if it hasn't been played already).  This is not racism - it would be just outrageous had Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, or even my own Congressman, Kevin McCarthy said it.

And this is not the first time that Johnson has made himself appear insane.  After Congressman Joe Wilson shouted "You lie" at President Obama during Obama's speech to Congress several months ago, Johnson claimed that Wilson's remark would lead to the return of the Ku Klux Klan.




It's pretty obvious that Hank Johnson does not possess the mental capacity to effectively execute his responsibilities as Congressman.  The question is, will anything be done about it?

After all, the current Democrat leadership is full of criminals, tax cheats, and liars.  Getting one insane man out of Congress really won't do all that much...but, as they say, every little bit helps.

Is Universal Health Care Worth Destroying America?

The Democrats, in typical crooked politician fashion, are now pushing the health care travesty through the Senate just as fast as they can. Word has it they're pushing for a cloture vote as early as Saturday, which would put the bill in the Senate for all of two weeks before it comes up for the first round of voting. In those two weeks, the bill has grown nearly 200 pages over the sorry excuse of a bill the House passed.

The idea that the purpose of this cloture vote is to open the bill up for debate is little more than a cheap lie. All a cloture vote will do is to begin the arm twisting, cajoling and bribery that are all too typical in Washington. In fact, the bribery has already begun. With deals like this going on, it's no wonder the only Republican congressman to vote for the House bill was from Louisiana...way too suspicious to be coincidence.

More flaws in the Senate bill:

The abortion provision that was introduced to the House bill that would block federal funding for abortions has been done away with, and replaced with a fee specifically for the purpose of funding abortions.

The bill will raise taxes on anyone not buying "qualifying" health plans, as well as levying other taxes and fees specifically designed to get people on the so-called "public option."

The million dollar question that has yet to be answered is this: Since when did the federal government have the authority to tell American citizens what products and/or services they have to buy? It's bad enough that the government is out there levying taxes on all of the things that the experts say will kill us - that trend has gotten so bad that they're now considering taxing soft drinks.

This used to be a free country. If the federal government would follow the Constitution, we would be still. But today, we are not a free country. We do retain some freedoms, but the number of freedoms we enjoy is shrinking daily. I have read the Constitution, and nowhere does it give the federal government the right to tell Americans what they can and can't buy. The ironic thing is that that fact matters more to millions of Americans across this great nation than it does to those who have sworn to protect and defend our Constitution. Any politician in Washington who votes for this health care bill should be tried for treason against the United States, because the only thing this legislation will bring us is poverty and destruction.

It is high time that the ordinary Americans who still possess common sense and pride in their country stand up and tell the politicians that we have had enough. Thomas Jefferson said it best when he wrote:

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. These words, from the document that started the Revolution that spawned the freest nation on Planet Earth, ring just as true today as they did when they were written. Our government is full of "light and transient causes," and it is high time we "throw off such Government, and...provide new Guards for [our] future security."

Could a New President Tear the Democrats Apart?

The Democrat primary truly is turning into an entertaining race. Hilary Clinton and B. Hussein Obama have been in a virtual dead heat for the past several months, with Obama holding a slight lead and Clinton not far behind in the primary race. Throw in Florida and Michigan (which unfortunately don't count), and they're pretty much neck-and-neck.

So, it looks like the outcome of the Democrat primary will be determined by the superdelegates, which could very well wreak havoc throughout the party...think Florida in 2000, only on a smaller scale: in that election, the Democrats basically blamed the Supreme Court of appointing George W. Bush president (in actuality, they voted to uphold standing Florida state law, which the Florida Supreme Court violated). Instead of the people of the Democrat party choosing their presidential candidate, the candidate will be chosen by the superdelegates, essentially meaning that half of the party's population would be overruled through the hijacking of the election process. According to Chris Dodd, as well as the Boston Globe, this primary election fight could potentially shake the party to its foundations.

What's more, apparently there is some infighting between Clinton's camp and Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi has been urging the superdelegates to follow the voters when they vote to choose a candidate...which would essentially make the superdelegates redundant. Of course, the irony of the party that calls itself "Democratic" subverting the democratic process through the use of superdelegates even further shows the hypocrisy of the Left.

Obama's Excuses

Barack Hussein Obama today gave a speech which essentially amounted to damage control for the comments of his pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Obama finally denounced Wright's comments, though in my opinion his words rang hollow. Were Obama a conservative, he would have been disgraced, driven out of the race, and his political career would be over - and all of that would have happened before the beginning of the primaries.

The truth is that nothing Obama could say would convince me that Rev. Wright's words didn't effect Obama, or that he didn't agree with them in some way. I can understand Obama having respect for the man who brought him to Christ, but there is no conceivable way that anyone would be a member of a church for twenty years if they disagreed with their pastor's political preaching as much as Obama professed to today.

Based on his comments, rants, and conspiracy theories, Obama's pastor is roughly the left-wing equivalent of Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church. As I stated earlier, were Obama a conservative, he would be receiving the political equivalent of being tarred, feathered, and run out of the campaign on a rail. As it is, he's largely gotten a pass thus far, probably due to some form of "white guilt" in the media - because it's a black church, Obama has cast this as a racial issue going all the way back to the existence of slavery at the founding of the nation...and because he's black, he'll probably get away with it.

The problem with this is that Obama has run his campaign on the platform that he will unify the nation. Bringing race in as an excuse for Rev. Wright's insanity does nothing more than to further the divide between races, religions, and political parties and ideologies.

Personally, I have no problem with Obama's faith - he has the right to worship as he pleases. But when his religious adviser is a left-wing radical conspiracy theorist, that worries me. Barack Obama may be a brother in Christ, but that doesn't mean I want him as my President.

Ain't Democracy Great?

Hugo Chavez, hero of the Left (aka the Democrat party), has declared that anyone who would vote against his proposed constitutional changes is a "traitor." Perhaps this is why the Democrats like Chavez so much: he stands so strongly for Democracy.

Chavez's proposed changes would remove term limits for the office of president in Venezuela, essentially opening the doors for him to become dictator-for-life.

Maybe this is why so many liberals support him: he's a hard-line Communist dictator...and for some unknowable reason, liberal elitists just love that in a foreign politician.

Liberals love to point at the Right and scream "hypocrite!" at the top of their lungs, but the Democrat party (as ironically named as it is), is more willing to support the dictator of Venezuela then they are to support the democratically elected president of their own nation...this shows their own hypocrisy: they claim to stand up for the common man, all the while doing nothing more than seeking as much power as they can get their hot little hands on.

The truth is that despite the name of their party and all of their platitudes, when liberals see Hugo Chavez, they see a dream to which they can aspire. Chavez, in all of his oppressive tyranny, is the left's role model, and they'd like nothing more than to do away with term limits for any leftist president, senator, or congressman, and consolidate their rule over the United States for the rest of the nation's existence.

That is the Left's dark secret, the one thing they don't want the general populace to catch on to.

Will they ever get it right?

The Democrats have yet to begin drafting a new bill to give US troops in Iraq the funding they need. As a result, the Army has had to slow down on needed repairs until they can be assured that they will get the money necessary for their continued campaign.

It seems to me that the Democrats in Congress are doing just what they accused President Bush of doing early on in the war, when they accused him of not giving the troops the supplies that they needed. They accused the President of not providing needed body armor or armor for vehicles. Now, without the funding that they need, the Army cannot complete the repairs they need. How does this make the Democrats any better than the villian they daily accuse President Bush of being?

These Congressmen, who from the beginning have claimed to "support the troops without supporting the war" are now supporting neither. Their pork-laden war funding bill, replete with conditions requiring troop withdraw, was tantamount to begging for a Presidential veto, and it was all done for political reasons, so that they could then blame the President for the lack of war funding.

The Democrats have also claimed from the beginning that the war in Iraq is "another Vietnam," and now they are truly trying to make it so. The aftermath of the US withdraw from Vietnam was a slaughter: the killing fields in Cambodia, Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge - hundreds of thousands of people dead who didn't have to die. Now, the Democrats want to pull our troops out of Iraq, the foreseeable results of which will be the deaths of millions. The possibility of a greater war and ethnic cleansing throughout the Middle East would be a major threat - almost an inevitability. If the Democrats can accomplish that, then all of their dire predictions and comparisons between Iraq and Vietnam will finally come true.

Millions will die, but at least the Democrats will have been right.
